birds emerging at b flat

So where DID that profile image of mine come from?!
I stumbled across a fabulous image online from a vintage natural science mag (have unfortunately since misplaced the link), where a man was on his hands and knees in the forest with a bird helmut on, trying to be inconspicuous in the act of studying birds in the wild. Just brilliant! Not sure why these guys are pantless... it was just necessary I guess.

Thank you gorgeous gals. And well, I guess they have to be tethered... can't have them running around looking like that!

Thanks so much dls and Hazel, I love that you're enjoying the humour!
And Barbara... one day many moons ago I did one of those 'what would be your dream job' exercises, and I answered 'to be a helicopter pilot'... (who draws)! I wanted to fly, and I like the dragonfly influence of the design. It became my hotmail address accompanied by the number 6 (there are many sixes in my birthdate 6.6.66!) and it's kinda stuck. When I asked everyone about a possible brand/blog name, they all agreed immediately that helicopter6 was it. It's also a play on my name (I'm Hellie to my family, and h6 is a play on my initials). In the first year my partner (an ex plane pilot) and i were together, he bought me a helicopter flying lesson, which was truly phenomenal - unfortunately I don't live a financially secure enough life to learn how to fly :-( I guess I'll just have to become a bird in my next life!

Thanks Kylie. It's very kind of you. I always thought it was a bit too whacky!!

Thanks for your answer, that was really interesting to know, because my partner is building a helicopter, so your name really jumped at me - it's very catchy though. I like it. And by the way, I forget that yesterday - your drawing is fabulous. Eeeh, and your birthdate is not really the 6.6.66?!
Keep on flying and have a nice week.

just wonderful!

Thank you both so much. Don't worry Barbara, there is one more six in my birth date to make it all ok!! And I love the fact your partner is building a helicopter - I hope it's for personal use!!
Beautiful, glorious morning here (about time!), hope everyone has a sensational week. xx
